  Oestradiol (E2)

Oestrodiol (E2) is a form of estrogen, a steroid hormone produced primarily by the ovaries. It plays a crucial role in the development and regulation of the female reproductive system and secondary sexual characteristics.

Oestrodiol levels are tested to evaluate ovarian function, diagnose menstrual irregularities, assess menopausal status, investigate infertility, and monitor hormone replacement therapy or conditions like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

This blood test helps in understanding reproductive health, hormonal balance, and diagnosing disorders related to estrogen production.
